As stated in the original article, some actors sign contracts that allow post processing :

of course he&#039;s in charge of creating a story but i do not agree that every meens to get to what he wants can be used: when you manipulate an actor expression by CG, you are fooling with somebodys job (the actor). You can&#039;t remanipulates somebodys job without asking him before no?
