Fab et Seb en Chine, 2008 Edition

Jour 2 – Shanghai, de l’eau, du vertige, de la maquette

Je vais essayer d’etre plus bref 🙂

Eau, source de vie?

Petite inquietude hier soir: apres avoir bu une gorgee d’eau du robinet hier soir, je demande a Fab : “Elle a pas un gout de terre cette eau?”. Et la un flash: l’eau n’est pas potable en Chine! D’apres le guide Lonely Planet, il faudrait prendre de l’eau en bouteille meme pour se brosser les dents. Depuis toujours les Chinois ont pris l’habitude de la faire bouillir. Et comme ils ont trouve que ca n’etait pas tres goutu, ils ont decide de rajouter des feuilles de the.

La nuit s’est pourtant bien passe, et le decallage horaire de six heure n’est pas tres violent pour l’instant.

Vertige

Nous sommes maintenant dans la tour du SWFC, a 470m de hauteur, a marcher sur un sol de verre au dessus du vide. Pour le moins vertigineux! Le prospectus rappelle fierement la hauteur des autres batiments les plus hauts, la tour Eiffel culminant a 324m. Je ne fais vraiment pas le malin au debut, et frissonne en voyant les gamins sauter sur les plaques de verre. Mais on s’y fait et on prend plaisir a admirer la vue .. quand il y’a quelque chose a voir: le temp est pluvieux et brumeux, donc nous entrapercevons la ville et les autres gratte-ciel entre deux trouees. C’est quand meme tres impressionnant !

On reste un petit moment. Les chinois prennent plus ou moins discretement des photos des occidentaux. Leur grand trip est de poser avec un grand allemand blond aux yeux bleus. Ils n’ont pas ce genre d’humains par ici. Les rares noirs a passer dans le coin doivent mechamment se faire devisager.

Maquette

Nous avons ensuite tente d’atteindre le Musee de Shanghai, mais trop tard, alors nous allons au Musee d’urbanisme. La partie interessante est l’immense maquette du centre de Shanghai, qui elle meme ne represente qu’une petite partie de la ville.

Une fois de plus, ne pouvant pas mettre encore de photos, je vous envoie sur cet autre article du blog de Damien sur cette maquette et l’immensite de cette ville.

Et la nous sommes ds un internet cafe enorme et sombre avec une centaine d’ordis en rang d’oignon.
