Last december I have been invited by Wolfgang Stuerzlinger to give a keynote at the “VR software and technology” conference in Toronto, Canada.
After a lot of thinking, I decided to talk about the general theme of how to improve the VR experience, from the authors to the users.
It talks about the current trends in system design (high-end vs low-cost), MiddleVR, and how our understanding of human perception can improve the user’s experience.

I came to your page because I googled haptic interfaces since I am doing research in neuroscience and am thinking about venturing into this area. I believe that making VR-palpable is the next, logical and necessary step.
I therefore wanted to ask you what the newest developments in haptic interface research are.
This stuff is über-exciting!

Hi,
I’m not an expert in haptics, so I would suggest reading the papers from recent haptics conferences (https://www.google.fr/search?q=haptics+conference&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:fr:official&client=firefox-a),
and checking the products of companies like Haption, Cyberglove or Sensable.
