My name is Sébastien Kuntz (aka ‘cb’ or ‘CbWan’), currently living in Paris, France.
I work at Virtools / Dassault Systèmes with David Nahon, as the lead Virtual Reality engineer.
I have also worked several years on a VR Engine and VR Simulators with a high level of interactivity at SNCF (french railways), with Philippe David.
In real life I enjoy photography, sport (climbing, street hockey, freefall.. ), going to concerts and way too much other things.
My goal is to provide the most immersive experiences (games, worlds…) to everyone, so if you want to talk about it, do not hesitate to contact me!
You can write to me on my email, which is located on top of the calendar on the left.
About this blog
In this blog you’ll find information related to Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, immersive environments, 3d interaction, and stuff for geeks.
What is VR ?
Virtual Reality is an art, which aims at fooling your brain into thinking he’s into a virtual environment, generally a computer generated 3d world, with which you can interact. Virtual Reality needs immersion, interaction, and real-time response (which in my book rules out Quicktime VR and SecondLife, but maybe we should switch to Immersive Virtual Reality.). If all conditions are met, ultimately you get an impressive sense of presence.
You can find a more complete article on Wikipedia.
What is a VR Geek?
A very rare combination of computer scientist.
